Where do you find your inspiration?

Inspiration through conversation. There is something to learn from people of all walks of life. A conversation can trigger a different way of thinking or a unique way to get to a solution, but can also serve as relief from the rigors of life. For that reason, I welcome interaction with anyone. And then, have to give the obligatory shout out to my family for inspiration in the “non-advertising” sense of the world.

What do you wish people knew about your job?

As advertisers, it is our job to make people’s lives easier – not the opposite. Identifying pain points and inserting a brand/product as a remedy is one of the many reasons I enjoy what I do. In today’s content driven world, there is so much out there that can inundate the consumer. The opportunity to be relevant is as powerful as ever and by using data properly to lean into this, the customer decision process inherently becomes less painful.

What gets you excited about coming to work each day?

At the core of all types of businesses, regardless of sector, you will find advertising. Advertising is a need that morphs based on objectives, audiences, technological advances, etc. but remains ever-present in some form. The opportunities are endless within the industry and as cliché as it is, they are changing every day. It’s an industry that is always challenging you and forcing you to be nimble. And through results, you can relate ones effort to enterprise wide growth, for better or worse.
