When the Charlotte Business Journal first announced that Queens University had named LGA President Peggy Brookhouse as its 2019 Charlotte BusinessWoman of the Year, we were filled with many emotions – pride, joy, inspiration – but surprise was not one of them.

We work alongside Peggy every day and recognize her as a smart, strategic and thoughtful leader. She’s our BusinessWoman of the Year every day. Still, it was exciting to see her join a list of the city’s most accomplished female leaders, such as Atrium Health’s EVP and Chief of Staff Carol Lovin, Bank of America’s CAO Andrea Smith and Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles.

The University, and the Charlotte business community as a whole, recently honored Peggy at a luncheon where she inspired attendees with stories of how she became the leader she is today. Bojangles’ CMO and LGA Client Jackie Woodward also spoke, encouraging attendees to weave together their competence and confidence to face challenges courageously –  just like Peggy has done her entire career.

To further celebrate Peggy, LGA created this video tribute to showcase what she means to us, our clients and the community:

We like to celebrate wins at LGA – client wins, agency wins, personal wins – and this feels like all three as Peggy is a relentless champion of our clients, business and team.
